Montgomery is a U.S. distributor who gave its own names on produced cameras from various origins.
The Wards am 550 is a Konica Auto S model.
It is a rangefinder, with parallax correction. A little window in the top of the viewfinder shows the aperture chosen by the CdS cell. It is possible to disengage the automatic mode in order to use this camera in the manual mode.
The cell has two sets for the sensitivity.
The fixed lens is a HEXAR f1.9/47mm. A sliding metal hood is included into the lens.
The shutter is a COPAL SVA (shutter speeds from 1 second to 1/500 sec + B).
